Christian Counseling

I offer faith-based Christian counseling for clients who seek it. In our sessions, you'll find a safe and non-judgmental space where we can explore life's challenges through the lens of Christian beliefs and values, if that aligns with your needs.

I understand that not everyone shares my worldview, and that's perfectly okay. In my practice, faith-based counseling is always optional. I never assume or impose any beliefs on clients who do not request it.

As a layperson, I have personally faced challenges both before and after becoming a follower of Jesus Christ in my young adult years. My role as a therapist is not to evangelize or persuade but to meet you where you are—engaging in conversations about faith only when you choose to invite it.

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an effective therapy that aids your brain in healing from the effects of painful or traumatic memories. It can help reduce emotional and physical distress while promoting healthier coping mechanisms.

In our sessions, we will follow a step-by-step process to gently identify the sources of your pain, lessen your triggers, and provide you with practical tools to manage stress. The goal of EMDR is to help you experience relief and create lasting, positive change in your life.

Sensorimotor Psychotherapy

Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP) is an effective method for healing trauma and addressing the effects of unhealthy attachment experiences. This approach emphasizes a gentle collaboration between the client and therapist, focusing on the entire person rather than just their thoughts or behaviors.

Instead of solely addressing how your thoughts influence your beliefs, SP integrates body awareness, emotions, and the mind to facilitate profound and lasting change.

SP can be particularly beneficial for overcoming challenges such as:

  • Anxiety
  • Intense emotional reactions
  • Post-traumatic stress symptoms
  • Hopelessness
  • Feeling disconnected from yourself or the world
  • Difficulty enjoying life
  • Relationship wounds
  • Early abandonment or separation from a caregiver
  • Struggles maintaining jobs, friendships, or relationships
  • Negative beliefs about your ability to succeed

Clients often refer to me as the "calm within their storm". My role is to guide your journey in overcoming the challenges that chip away at your joy. I strive to help my clients change the unhealthy beliefs or reactions that make it difficult for them to manage their lives. I do this by being a calm, steady, and encouraging presence that invites healing through respect and compassion without judgment.
